KERRI CARPENTER
PARTNER
Kerri Carpenter is a lawyer and entrepreneur. She grew up in rural Prince Edward Island and studied at Dalhousie University, followed by the University of New Brunswick where she completed her law degree.
Kerri has worked for both government and private business. She began her legal career by entering private practice in New Brunswick and then moving home to Prince Edward Island a few years later. After several years of private practice with a regional firm in Charlottetown, Kerri opened her own small firm in 2010. With a diverse client base over the years, her practice has included a wide variety of practice areas. She now practices primarily in the areas of immigration, business and real estate law.
Kerri has always been an avid volunteer in the legal community. She is also a former Chair of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) PEI Branch Immigration Law Section and is also a former CBA PEI Branch President.
Kerri lives in Stratford with her husband, Scott, and their four children. Kerri is also engaged professionally and personally in her communities. Kerri has been an active volunteer with local sporting groups, having served in various roles within these organizations over the past twenty years.
JANET THOMPSON – PRICE
PARTNER
Janet Thompson-Price lives and works in Saint John, New Brunswick. She leads the immigration practice group of Atlantic Fusion Law Group.
As a daughter of immigrant parents, she remembers the proud day her parents became Canadian citizens and how they helped other family members come to Canada. Because of this, she understands the stress faced by people going through the process and is here to help. She believes every client should be treated with respect, compassion and that every case is unique. She is committed to providing high-quality legal services to every client.
She has proudly helped clients with their immigration needs for 15 years. She has written a number of immigration articles and has been asked to speak at various national immigration conferences. She also volunteers her time with the newcomer community in New Brunswick and has started a group for newcomer women in Atlantic Canada.
Before forming Atlantic Fusion Law Group with Kerri Carpenter, Janet had formed her own firm Thompson-Price Law where she worked for a number of years providing immigration legal services.
She is a mother of three children, all of whom are involved in sports. In addition to her work at Atlantic Fusion Law Group, Janet is also a part-time instructor at the Faculty of Law, University of New Brunswick where she teaches immigration law.
